Anti-spam Policy
Watkins Manufacturing Corporation ("Watkins"), manufacturer of Hot Spring® spas, abides by a strict anti-spam policy, as enforced by Watkins and its email service provider, BlueHornet.com.

Spam is any unsolicited commercial email sent to a recipient who has not provided such recipient's email address directly to the sender for the purpose of receiving commercial advertisement.

If a consumer registers their spa via our on-line warranty process, requests a brochure, or signs up for our e-mail newsletter, the consumer will receive automated e-mail response from Watkins to confirm the registration or request. This is not considered as an unsolicited email since it is a confirmation or response to a customer's request.

If a consumer elects to join our mailing list, Watkins will occasionally send emails to provide the consumer with additional information, or to inform them of new company and/or product announcements. Additionally, if a consumer enters a contest or sweepstakes sponsored by Watkins, they may also receive an email from us per their request or per usage guidelines of the promotion.

Per the privacy policy, Watkins does not release any e-mail addresses to any third party for solicitation purposes, therefore joining the Watkins Hot SpringĻ mailing list will not cause the consumer to receive additional email from any other organizations or companies other than Watkins and/or its authorized dealers.

Emails from Watkins will always contain clear instructions on how to opt-out from the mailing list, and consumers will be promptly removed if requested.

A special note regarding Watkins emails and the Federal "CAN-SPAM" Act of 2003:

On January 1, 2004, the Federal CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 went into effect. The new law provides criminal and civil penalties for falsifying any information contained in the email, for the sending of commercial email with deceptive subject lines, and for the sending of commercial email that does not include "a functioning return" address or a link to a Web form capable of accepting unsubscribe requests. It also prohibits email address "harvesting" and "scraping" (pulling random email addresses off the Internet).

Watkins has made the following modifications to its outgoing email messages to ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM:
  • Our email list is 100% permission-based ("opt-in"); we do not rent or buy lists of email addresses that may have been gathered by "harvesting" or "scraping"
  • Our email header information is not misleading or deceptive
  • Our email campaigns' "From" addresses have been verified and accurately identifies Watkins as the sender
  • Each Watkins email provides an opt-out method at the bottom of every message sent.
  • BlueHornet (our email database management system) automatically processes all opt-out requests to avoid sending future messages to customers who opt-out. All opt-out requests will be processed within 10 days of receipt
